WHAT IS FAMILY MEDIATION? It is an alternative to the traditional adversarial process of litigation in the family courts and helps in resolving the disputes associated with separation and divorce, family business, eldercare, inheritance, and parenting. It is a cooperative process in which parties work together with a neutral mediator to reach agreements on such issues as parenting arrangements, financial support, property settlement, business arrangements, and other family matters.
